Electronic service, installation & modification

At some point in your guitar's life the electronics may need attending to.

Heavy ware, dust and other elements can cause components to become noisy or fail.

Alternatively, you may want to improve your guitar's tone or try something new.

We keep a range of electronic components in stock including; pick ups, pots, switches, sockets, capacitors, etc from some of the best manufacturers in the business; Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio, CTS, Emerson, etc.

We also make our own boutique, hand wired pick ups here at Planet Guitar HQ! Built to your specifications!

Below is a list of the more common electronic repairs we carry out. If you don't see what you require, please feel free to contact us to discuss further.

Prices may vary due to the type of guitar we're working on or the service you require. Our bench charge is £25 per hour. We will always contact the customer first with an exact price before starting any work.

Electronic check/clean

Dust & other elements can effect components. Guitar's circuit is cleaned, solder joints attended to, re assembled & tested.

Component installation

If components are beyond repair and need replacing. This includes; switches, pots, sockets, capacitors,etc. This also includes adding push/pull controls for more varied tone (if pick ups have 4 core cable)
